Garry Trethewey asked this question:
can I split the (Cat5) cable to provide, in effect 2 cat5 cables for every one I have?
Or is there some technical reason to leave 2 pairs in each cable unused?
Answer: Yes, you could make two network connections if you wired correctly for 100BT
network. GigaBitT uses all four pair cables so that only one connection can be wired.
